Under language of claims made policy, complaint and amended complaint led in 2017 and 2018,respectively, were “related claims,” and the operative date of the claim for notice purposes was August 2017 with the filing of the original complaint. The policyholders’ 2018 notice was therefore untimely, because the amended complaint, although significantly expanding the scope of the claims and adding new codefendants, did not initiate a new and distinct claim that was first made in 2018.
